Pregnancy

Folate, iron, iodine and calcium needs change by trimester, and the plan follows that change. Foods to avoid — raw meat, unpasteurised dairy, high-mercury fish, excess caffeine — are removed from suggestions from the start. During pregnancy the OTC suggestion engine switches off and points you to your doctor.

This program is not a treatment plan. Vitonella informs you; it does not make medical decisions. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before starting this program or changing your treatment.

What this program does

Folate, iron, iodine and calcium needs change by trimester, and the plan follows that change. Foods to avoid — raw or undercooked meat, unpasteurised dairy, high-mercury fish, excess caffeine — are removed from suggestions from the start. During pregnancy the over-the-counter suggestion engine switches off: in this period even the safest-looking substance is a doctor’s decision.

Features that come into play

  • Personalized Meal Planning

Daily plans are built from your goal, your health conditions and the food you genuinely eat. You choose the cuisine — Turkish, Mediterranean, East Asian — and the plan is prepared from that kitchen. Swap out a meal you do not fancy and the balance of the day still holds.

  • Food Interactions

Marks the food and drink that can alter how your medication behaves: grapefruit, caffeine, dairy, liquorice, vitamin-K-rich greens and alcohol. What it finds reaches your meal plan as well, so a clashing meal is never put in front of you in the first place and you are not left to catch it afterwards.

  • Smart Supplements

A supplement is a medicine too. What you take is assessed alongside your prescriptions, and the daily requirement analysis shows where you fall short and where you go over. If the same substance reaches you from two different products, that overlap is marked.

  • Health Conditions

Add your conditions to your profile and let meals, reminders and alerts follow them. Seventy-eight conditions are defined: chronic ones run until you close them, acute ones expire, and special periods such as pregnancy and breastfeeding keep their own calendar. When one runs out the app does not quietly drop it — it asks.
